Grace Bells Perform at The Sheridan
At Grace Lutheran School, we take pride in instilling a heart for service in our students. Through intentional service opportunities, our students learn the joy of giving, connecting, and making a difference in the community.
Last week, our Junior High Handbell Strike Team visited The Sheridan in River Forest to perform for the residents—and what a beautiful experience it was!
The students shared their musical talents by playing handbells, filling the space with joyful melodies and heartfelt interactions. The residents’ smiles and enthusiastic responses were a testament to the power of music and connection. In return, our students cherished the opportunity to interact with the residents, hearing their stories and enjoying meaningful moments of laughter and kindness.
We are so proud of our students for sharing their gifts and for approaching this opportunity with warmth and love. Events like these embody the mission of Grace Lutheran School: to not only nurture academic growth but to encourage students to love and serve others.
Opportunities to serve help our students see how small acts of kindness can make a big impact. Whether it’s through music, service projects, or simple acts of love, we’re grateful to nurture servant hearts here at Grace.
