Tuition & Financial Aid

Affordable options for exceptional education.

Over half of our families receive variable tuition.

At Grace Lutheran School, we use variable tuition, also known as sliding scale tuition, to ensure our education is affordable for all families. The amount is determined by multiple factors affecting a family’s financial means. It offers an appropriate tuition level for each unique family, making our quality, faith-based education accessible to everyone.

Frequently asked questions.

What is sliding scale tuition or variable tuition?

Sliding scale tuition or variable tuition is a model that allows families to pay what they can reasonably afford to attend Grace School. With this model, each family pays a rate of tuition that fits their unique financial situation. This is available for students in senior kindergarten through eighth grade, and for the morning program for preschool and junior kindergarten.

How does it work?

Any family may apply for variable tuition. The main factors considered when determining a family’s tuition amount include income and number of dependents; each family is asked to pay what they can reasonably afford. Applications are submitted directly to FACTS Management, a third party that evaluates the applications and makes recommendations to Grace School’s Variable Tuition Committee. From those recommendations, the committee determines the variable tuition amount for each family. Families will be notified of the tuition level they qualify for directly from FACTS.

What families qualify for variable tuition?

A wide range of families with a variety of circumstances qualify for the program, from those who are able to pay close to the full tuition to those who are able to pay a smaller percentage of the full tuition amount. Many factors are evaluated, including income, expenses, and family size.

Are some families awarded full tuition?

No. Every family is required to make a financial investment in their child’s education. Our commitment to providing variable tuition means we are sharing in that investment with you.

Does variable tuition factor in multiple students and siblings attending Grace School?

Yes. This is one of the key factors that determines variable tuition. One of the important questions asked on our confidential application asks for family size and number of students enrolled at Grace School.
