Meet Our New Social Worker!
At Grace Lutheran, we believe that every student thrives when surrounded by compassion, care, and the love of Christ. That’s why we’re excited to welcome a new member to our team who brings not only deep professional expertise, but also a genuine heart for people.
We asked Rachel to share with us a little about herself:
“With 15 years’ experience as a licensed social worker, I’ve had the privilege of serving in a variety of social service settings. For over a decade, my focus has been on educating children of all ages, as well as supporting teachers, parents, and community members. My background includes extensive work in trauma and crisis intervention—areas where connection, trust, and faith can make all the difference.
After completing my master’s degree, I began counseling individuals and groups, walking alongside people in moments of both challenge and growth.
Outside of work, I live in Lombard with my husband, our four wonderful children, and our very energetic dog. We love spending time outdoors, especially hiking together as a family.
I’m truly excited to be working at Grace Lutheran. It’s a joy and a blessing to share God’s love with students and families each day, and I look forward to all the ways we’ll grow together this year.”
