Grace Students Shine at Lutheran Summer Music 2025
This summer, six students connected with Grace Lutheran School and Church are participating in Lutheran Summer Music (LSM) at Valparaiso University—a nationally recognized, faith-based music academy for high school students who have completed grades 8–12.
LSM brings together young musicians from across the country for four weeks of intensive musical instruction, meaningful worship, and life in a supportive, faith-filled community. Participants take part in large ensembles, chamber groups, and private lessons with collegiate-level instructors. Outside the classroom, students attend recitals, evening prayer rooted in Lutheran liturgy, and enjoy fun, community-building events.
Representing Grace this year are:
- Bri Wurpts (Class of 2020)
- Andy Leininger (Class of 2024)
- Damaris Benzar (Class of 2021)
- Ben Schueler (Grace member)
- Eden Ling and Ava Watson (both Class of 2025, not pictured)
At Grace Lutheran School, we’re committed to nurturing students’ gifts from a young age. Music class begins in Pre-K, choir starts in 1st grade, and students can choose from a range of electives, including orchestra, band, and handbells. We love helping students grow both artistically and intellectually.
We’re proud of these students and how they are using their talents to glorify God through music.
