From Idea to Impact: Grace Student Jack Advocates for a Little Library

We are so proud to share some wonderful news about one of our Grace students.

4th grader, Jack, spoke at the River Forest Village Board Town Hall meeting to advocate for placing a Little Library in front of Village Hall. He thoughtfully explained why the location would be safe and well-lit, and how it could inspire future generations of readers and storytellers. He even shared that it would be a great way to recycle books—giving old favorites a new home while discovering new ones to enjoy.

Jack proudly mentioned that he is a Grace student and that he loves his community.

His proposal was unanimously approved, and the Little Library is expected to be installed before summer.

We are especially proud of Jack for confidently standing up in front of a room of adults, delivering a strong speech, and engaging in thoughtful conversation. Leadership, initiative, and love for community are beautiful things to see in action.

Way to go, Jack. Grace is proud of you!
